VABO Composites supports every aspect of carefree refit
VABO Composites has successfully designed, constructed, and installed a custom composite roof for the winter garden of a 76-metre superyacht as part of an extensive refit in southern Europe. This intricate project highlights VABO’s expertise in high-quality composite superstructures and its full-service support from design through to installation.
The composite roof was a pivotal feature in the refit yard’s vision to create an all-weather outdoor space for the yacht, providing comfort and durability. VABO partnered with the designer early on, ensuring seamless integration and accurate construction methods. The company managed pre-engineering, FEM analysis, strength calculations, and class certification for this project.
Fabricated at VABO’s state-of-the-art Emmeloord facility, the roof traveled to its final destination via Van Wieren Special Transport. VABO’s installation experts completed the roof and windbreaker attachment on-site without welding, integrating it seamlessly into the yacht’s aluminium superstructure. The project concluded with satisfaction from the yacht’s owners.
